Attention Private Well Owners in North Perth!
Well Water Testing Drop-Off Location Change

Listowel – Effective Monday, July 29, 2019, the Listowel Memorial Hospital will no longer be accepting well water testing kits. The North Perth Municipal office is the new well water testing kit pick-up and drop-off location in Listowel. The North Perth Municipal Office is located at 330 Wallace Ave. N. Water testing kits will be accepted at the municipal office during the hours of Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
“The Health Unit would like to thank the Listowel Memorial Hospital for partnering with us over the past many years, and thank the North Perth Municipal Office for now offering this service to our residents,” says Donna Taylor, Director of Health Protection.
Free bacterial water testing services are provided to all Perth County residents on a private well by the Public Health Laboratory and the Perth District Health Unit. “Water quality can change. It is recommended that you test your well water a minimum of three times a year, preferably spring, summer and fall,” says Taylor. “Frequent testing will keep you up-to-date on the quality of your drinking water and provide an early warning signal to potential problems.”
Water testing kits can be obtained at the locations listed below or at your local Township Office. Take the sample just before you deliver it to one of the following locations in Perth County:
Perth District Health Unit

Friday – 8:30 am to 11:30 am
