Managers, supervisors, human resources teams, and health and safety representatives in southwestern Ontario are invited to an upcoming workshop in Stratford on May 27. The workshop – “Workplace Wellness: Moving Forward” – will cover topics like:
- linking wellness and engagement
- understanding absenteeism and presenteeism
- integrating wellness into all workplace management aspects.

“Healthy organizations are a result of forging strong links between health, safety, wellness initiatives and core human resource goals,” says Kerry Price, Public Health Promoter at the Perth District Health Unit.
The keynote presentation at the workshop is Graham Lowe, PhD, and author of Creating Healthy Organizations. Dr. Lowe will focus on factors to help workplaces build a thriving and productive workforce, such as improving employee health and productivity and the link between well-being and performance.
The workshop is hosted by the Southwest Region Public Health Units, Western Region Workforce Planning Boards and the City of Stratford. The annual workshop is hosted each year at a different location in southwestern Ontario. This year, the workshop is in Stratford.
