Mitchell ―The Perth District Health Unit is looking for a dog involved in a biting/scratching incident in Mitchell to complete an investigation. The incident took place on Tuesday, June 7, between 12 and 12:15pm, near the corner of Frances and St. Andrew streets.
The dog is described as yellow and was being walked on a leash by a man.
The Health Unit is investigating this incident to check if the dog has up-to-date rabies shots. If the dog is not found, the person who was bitten/scratched may need to complete a series of rabies shots.
The Perth District Health Unit reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animals involved in a biting or scratching incident.
